Job Overview

Berners Schober is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for the planning, designing, and engineering of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for educational, health care and/or commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate project objectives, challenges, and scope with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects, working closely with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met while delivering a quality product.
  • Research and specify products, equipment, and systems to meet client expectations.
  • Conduct calculations of heating/cooling load, ventilation quantities and equipment selection for building mechanical systems.
  • Assess existing systems and provide recommendations for refurbishment or replacement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • PE license in WI, required.
  • PE license in IL, preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferred.
  • HVAC experience, required.
  • Prior healthcare experience, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Revit experience is a plus.
