Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Analyst to join our team at the City of Santa Ana. As a key member of our risk management department, you will be responsible for administering risk management programs, including general liability, workers' compensation, and safety programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer risk management programs, including general liability, workers' compensation, and safety programs
  • Monitor workers' compensation and general liability claims via a third-party administrator (TPA)
  • Review certificates of insurance (COI) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contracts and agreements
  • Conduct research regarding updates in federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to risk management, workers' compensation, and safety
  • Assist employees in resolving issues related to worker's compensation, safety, and health
  • Manage data collection for claims, lawsuits, and damages to City property
  • Create and maintain accurate risk management databases
Requirements
  • Associate in Risk Management (ARM) Designation is highly desirable
  • Two (2) years of increasingly responsible professional human resources or risk management administrative experience, preferably in a government agency
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Risk Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
