Job Overview

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the receipt, organization, storage, and distribution of goods, materials, and products at a Corovan logistics facility. This role involves guiding other warehouse personnel and temporary staff, while receiving daily instructions from the Account Manager and reporting to the Transportation Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership Duties

Directs and manages the tasks of assigned movers, warehouse staff, temporary workers, or relocation crews.

As a Supervisor, may be tasked with managing the opening, closing, and security of remote warehouses as designated by the Transportation Manager.

Must have the capability to instruct basic training sessions on warehouse operations and safety protocols using presentation software for new employees or as needed.

Operational Assignments

Facilitates the loading and unloading of vehicles with various types of goods.

Examines items for any damage and confirms the accuracy of orders.

Organizes goods for storage and retrieval.

Utilizes equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move items throughout the warehouse.

Maintains accurate inventory records using handheld scanning devices and integrates with the warehouse management system.

Achieves or surpasses productivity benchmarks established by Corovan.

Adheres to all safety regulations, including the use of appropriate safety gear and operating machinery responsibly.

Client Relations

Ensures exceptional service to clients and collaborates effectively with transportation and operational teams to build strong relationships.

Demonstrates punctuality and communicates any emergencies to the Account Manager and operations manager promptly.

Addresses customer inquiries and concerns swiftly, escalating issues to the Operations Manager when necessary.

Works collaboratively with team members and maintains professionalism in all interactions.

Safety Compliance

Conducts all tasks with a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety.

Reports any unsafe conditions or requests from clients to senior management.

Additional Responsibilities

Completes daily timesheets and ensures all documentation is accurate and submitted on time.

Performs other duties as assigned based on operational needs.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Five to seven years of experience in warehouse operations is necessary.

Forklift certification is mandatory.

Basic proficiency in presentation software is required.

Experience with handheld scanning devices is essential.

A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
