Job Description

Overview

Norfolk Public Schools is seeking qualified Substitute Teachers and Instructional Assistants to work with regular education and special education populations. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and want to make a difference in the lives of students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and special education programs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans and activities that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and productive learning experience.

Requirements

  • Substitute Teachers: Bachelor's degree and teaching certification (MA Certification highly desirable)
  • Substitute Instructional Assistants: Associate's degree and experience working with early childhood and elementary populations
  • Nurses: Fully MA Certified and CURRENT

Compensation

  • $115/day CERTIFIED
  • $98/day for Paras
  • $182.50 day Long Term TEACHER Sub
  • $110/day Long Term INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT Sub
  • $163/day Nurse (RN)
