This 13-bed locked unit provides care for senior patients with diagnosed psychiatric disorders, including dementia, depression, schizophrenia, and anxiety disorders. Our team is dedicated to providing a supportive and therapeutic environment for our patients, with a focus on medication management, group therapy, and individual counseling.

As a Senior Behavioral Health Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, hospitalists, and therapists. Our unit is a well unit, meaning that patients must be medically stable to remain on the unit. If patients develop an infectious disease or become medically unstable, they are transferred to a medical floor.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and assistance with ADLs
* Participate in group therapy and individual counseling sessions
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
* Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care

**Requirements:**

* Current RN licensure in the hiring state
* BSN degree or higher
* Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
* 1+ year of experience in a behavioral health setting
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
