Our 13-bed locked unit provides care for senior patients with diagnosed psychiatric disorders, including dementia, depression, schizophrenia, and anxiety disorders. As a Senior Behavioral Health Nurse, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide individualized care and support to our patients.

Our unit is a well unit, meaning that patients must be medically stable to remain on the unit. If patients develop an infectious disease or become medically unstable, they are transferred to a medical floor. Our patients participate in group therapy daily, led by a certified occupational therapist or technician, and some receive individual counseling based on need.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide individualized care and support to patients with diagnosed psychiatric disorders
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
* Participate in group therapy and individual counseling sessions
* Administer medications and perform various medical procedures
* Assist patients with activities of daily living and functional mobility

**Requirements:**

* Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
* Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of hire
* Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
* Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
* Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
