Job Title: Intake Specialist

Champaign-Urbana Public Health District is seeking a full-time Intake Specialist for the Maternal Child & Health Division.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify program eligibility and facilitate client visits.
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance during inquiries and interactions.
  • Adhere to state policies and procedures as outlined by WIC and USDA guidelines.
  • Complete and update data entry.
  • Support offsite programs, health fairs, and related activities.
  • Respond to public health emergencies as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of office experience in a public service environment.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent phone etiquette, customer service, data entry, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Medicaid billing experience is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual Spanish/French is preferred.
