Champaign-Urbana Public Health District is seeking a full-time Intake Specialist for the Maternal Child & Health Division.
Responsibilities:- Verify program eligibility and facilitate client visits.
- Schedule and reschedule appointments.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance during inquiries and interactions.
- Adhere to state policies and procedures as outlined by WIC and USDA guidelines.
- Complete and update data entry.
- Support offsite programs, health fairs, and related activities.
- Respond to public health emergencies as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of office experience in a public service environment.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent phone etiquette, customer service, data entry, organizational, and communication skills.
- Medicaid billing experience is highly desirable.
- Bilingual Spanish/French is preferred.
