Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Home Loans Sales Assistant to join our Home Loan Processing Department.
The Home Loans Sales Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering an outstanding member experience by leveraging their expertise in our home loan offerings and understanding the basic underwriting criteria necessary for loan approval. This position involves providing pre-qualification letters to members or prospective borrowers exploring new home options. The assistant will manage these leads until a complete application is submitted, at which point they will be transitioned to Home Loan Originators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for stakeholders, ensuring an exceptional member experience through effective listening and needs assessment.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills by efficiently addressing and resolving inquiries.
- Communicate thoroughly and transparently regarding each transaction with all involved parties.
- Maintain a pipeline of leads and pre-approvals through consistent follow-up with members and potential borrowers until sufficient information is collected for a complete application.
- Build and nurture trusting relationships with stakeholders.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales and/or processing within residential loan lending.
- At least 1 year of experience in a Sales Assistant capacity.
- General understanding of mortgage products.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Encompass software.
Education:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.

- College degree.
