Key Responsibilities- Schedule Surgical Procedures: Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to schedule surgical procedures based on surgeon availability, patient needs, and operating room capacity.
- Coordinate Resources: Ensure all necessary resources and personnel are available for each surgical procedure, including equipment, supplies, and staff.
- Communicate Effectively: Provide clear and timely communication regarding schedule changes, delays, and other important information to patients, surgeons, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling records in our electronic health record system.
- Ensure Patient Safety: Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, resource shortages, and other issues that may impact patient safety and satisfaction.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field preferred.
- Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, proficiency in using electronic health record systems and scheduling software.
