UCSF Medical Center and Campus is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. As a Physician Assistant in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to newborns in the NICU, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct rounds, perform procedures, and order medications as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit efficiency.
- Minimum one (1) year recent working experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as a PA.
- Active and current California Physician Assistant License (PA).
- California driver's license (CDL) if required for position.
- Current national board certification by first day of work and maintain.
- Active and transferable DEA license to California and have evidence of transfer by 90th day of clinical practice.
- Complete an AAPA recognized graduate master's degree program as a physician assistant.
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through the credentialing process by first clinical day.
- Current AHA BLS as minimum requirement.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.
