Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise day-to-day operations, including coaching and training personnel to maintain an efficient and safe work environment.
  • Safety Management: Support the company's Target Zero safety initiative to create an incident-free work environment.
  • Workforce Development: Develop and lead a cross-trained workforce to ensure seamless operations.
  • Quality Control: Maintain established quality standards for packaging, labeling, palletizing, handling, and storage of Crafco products.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate with purchasing to order and maintain supplies and materials, and conduct weekly inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Cost Control: Manage departmental costs, including labor, overtime, supplies, scrap, and tooling, as outlined in the departmental budget.
  • Logistics Coordination: Manage inventory storage tank levels for asphalt and schedule inbound and outbound tanker trucks for the roofing department.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in production supervision in manufacturing or plant operations
  • Skills: Quality certifications, Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Continuous Improvement backgrounds are preferred; computer proficiency in email, Word, Excel, and MS Office applications and proprietary systems
