Job Title: Transportation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Manager to oversee the transportation department and improve the efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage all transportation operations to ensure timely delivery of goods to destinations.
  • Review and approve logistics analysis and carrier bid analysis to optimize transportation costs.
  • Process and maintain payment systems for transportation services.
  • Coordinate special move operations and payment, including urgent load requests.
  • Review and finalize claim processing for all levels of damages.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for transportation operations.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly audits of customers and carriers to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Improve old AR collection and billing accuracy to reduce costs.
  • Negotiate and manage carrier contracts, bid analysis, traffic lane, and distribution analysis.
  • Establish carrier service goals and standards, and set measurement criteria.
  • Conduct carrier service reviews with carrier management to evaluate performance.
  • Analyze costs and profits to improve operation procedures and reduce costs.
  • Develop new business opportunities and manage existing customer relationships.
  • Manage and optimize the use of assets, including trucks, trailers, and chassis.
  • Set team goals and encourage team members to meet common targets.
  • Collaborate with other managers to implement policies and procedures.
  • Manage monthly carrier safety meetings to discuss accidents, incidents, and current issues.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual-Korean required, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Korean.
  • 7+ years of experience in transportation and logistics operations, distribution management, and asset maintenance.
  • Experience with TMS or similar transportation-related computer database management systems.
  • Exceptional communication, critical thinking, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience with general business application programs, including Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field preferred.

This role requires long periods of sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require occasional lifting up to 30 pounds and transporting items. Accommodation will be made based on ability and accessibility.

The estimated base salary range for the Transportation Manager is $100,700-106,500. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
