Responsibilities:

As a Unit Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring that established standards of resident care are upheld throughout the facility while supervising the quality of nursing services provided.

Your duties will include:

  • Delegating direct resident care responsibilities to the Head Nurse or Nurse in Charge of each unit.
  • Supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and coaching nursing staff on assigned units.
  • Identifying and addressing issues at the unit level, while keeping the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director informed of resident status through both verbal and written communication.
  • Conducting daily rounds to monitor residents, including those who are acutely ill, and following up on new admissions.
  • Performing regular audits of documentation and charting to ensure compliance with physician orders.
  • Handling resident and family concerns with professionalism and tact.
  • Submitting weekly and monthly reports on relevant statistics, meetings, and other significant information.
  • Participating in continuing education opportunities to maintain professional development.

Competitive hourly rate

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Nursing Administration is required.
  • Must possess a current New York State LPN license.

Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
