About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Summit Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate radiologic or fluoroscopy equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images for medical professionals to interpret.
  • Assist patients in preparing for radiologic procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Verify patient identification and ensure accurate routing of studies to the appropriate medical professionals.
  • Maintain a daily log of patients seen and ensure accurate documentation of procedures performed.
  • Participate in quality control checks on equipment and report any deficiencies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure accurate and timely completion of radiologic procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in radiologic imaging, ensuring the highest level of patient care and diagnostic accuracy.

Requirements

  • New York State and/or Connecticut License and ARRT Certification
  • Excellent patient and people skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of knowledge in human anatomy and cross-sectional anatomy, proper positioning skills, and appropriate utilization of protocols and imaging techniques
  • High knowledge with variety of routine procedures and applications
  • Ability to maintain continuing education credits and professional licenses required by the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Environmental Protection and The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
