Job Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist at Yale New Haven Health, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality radiographic images for subsequent interpretation by radiologists. Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Radiology Manager and/or Assistant Chief Technologist, you will perform a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follows routine protocols and refers to the source document to ensure the correct exam is performed.
  • Assists schedulers, physicians, nursing and other appropriate staff with scheduling, obtaining requisitions or pre-authorization, patient preparation instructions, and other exam-related communications.
  • Performs quality and compassionate patient care in order to ensure cooperation, safety and satisfaction.
  • Is receptive to teaching newly-hired technologists as observed by supervisor or input from staff.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an A.M.A. accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Proficient in advanced Radiography CR/Digital imaging techniques, above average knowledge of computer/PACS applications, and good organizational and communication/customer service skills.
  • Must have achieved at least a successful rating in most recent performance appraisal.
