Key Responsibilities:

As a Clinical Laboratory Technician/Healthcare Laboratory Scientist, your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting moderate to high complexity laboratory tests and analyses
  • Ensuring the integrity of specimens through proper handling and processing
  • Adhering to departmental protocols, quality control, and safety standards
  • Performing biological specimen preparation and processing
  • Assisting with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Participating in quality control procedures and documentation
  • Collaborating with team members and leadership to maintain laboratory standards
  • Engaging in laboratory maintenance activities, including inventory management and waste disposal
  • Other related duties as assigned

Physical Requirements: This role requires extensive computer use and may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing, as well as repetitive motions.

Safety Considerations: The position involves some risk of exposure to hazardous materials and requires compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in medical laboratory science (ASCP or equivalent)
  • Active license as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Science preferred; Associate Degree accepted
  • Knowledge of microbiological techniques is advantageous
  • A patient-centered approach to healthcare
