Position Overview
As a CYS Technology Integration Specialist NF-04, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the operational efficiency of Child and Youth Services (CYS) through the strategic application of technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a CYS Functional Technology Specialist, ensuring the seamless integration of technology into all facets of CYS operations.
  • Collaborate with the installation Information Systems Officer and the Director of Information Management to formulate and execute technology protocols that bolster CYS programming and administrative functions.
  • Utilize your expertise to supervise and facilitate the deployment of the Child and Youth Management Information System (CYMS), ensuring precise tracking and reporting of financial resources.
  • Guarantee that the operations of CYS Technology Labs comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive Educational Technology Program tailored for school-age children, middle school youth, and teens participating in CYS initiatives, ensuring technology is effectively integrated into service areas.

Employment Conditions

  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are mandatory.

  • Current health assessment documenting good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable diseases, and immunizations as per current policies is required.
  • A one-year probationary period may be necessary.
  • Successful completion of annual training requirements and demonstration of on-the-job competence is essential.
  • Flexibility for irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
  • Travel to various locations may be necessary.
  • Completion of an employment verification (E-Verify) check is required.
  • A credit check will be conducted.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess substantial college coursework or professional certifications in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Additionally, the following qualifications are essential:

  • In-depth knowledge of child and youth programs, educational/recreational initiatives for youth, or a combination of expertise in all areas related to child/youth development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and associated applications, intranet/internet database applications, email administration, web design/development, and server management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, printers, LAN equipment, scanners, servers, and software, as well as perform equipment upgrades.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to analyze problems, gather relevant data, and propose effective solutions.
