About the Role:
Sentara Healthcare is seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Clinical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of customer service while performing patient phlebotomy and specimen collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, label, and process patient specimens for testing
- Responsible for registration and test data entry
- Monitor supply levels and maintain laboratory equipment
- Provide excellent customer service and interact with hospital and physician office staff
- May perform EKG and operate glucometer
Requirements:
- Completion of a Phlebotomy Program or Course in lieu of 1 year experience in Phlebotomy
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire
- HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
