The role of Claims Specialist focuses on managing medical malpractice claims within the insurance sector. This position is vital for ensuring effective handling of high-stakes claims and enhancing processes related to healthcare litigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Development: Formulate comprehensive strategies for the management of high exposure medical malpractice claims.
  • Risk Mitigation: Oversee and analyze high exposure cases to minimize risk effectively.
  • Trend Analysis: Assess and communicate regional trends in exposure and related data.
  • Case Coordination: Organize formal discussions and reviews for high exposure cases, providing detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Litigation Collaboration: Work closely with defense counsel to devise and implement appropriate litigation strategies.
  • Performance Feedback: Provide insights to management regarding the performance of defense counsel.
  • Quality Oversight: Audit claim files to ensure adherence to established criteria and report on quality trends.
  • Staff Development: Identify areas for improvement among claims staff through compliance reviews and provide coaching and mentorship.

Qualifications
