ROLE SUMMARY:

The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will play a crucial role in managing the institution's financial health by leading the creation of annual budgets, analyzing financial data, and facilitating strategic long-term planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles in partnership with senior management.
  • Conduct thorough analyses to support budgeting, forecasting, and expense management initiatives.
  • Work closely with Human Resources on budgetary considerations related to staffing and compensation.
  • Deliver insights and findings to key stakeholders, including the Board of Trustees.
  • Engage in data-driven projects and initiatives to enhance decision-making processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience, ideally within the higher education sector.
  • Proven expertise in financial analysis and budget management.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and financial planning software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A strong commitment to the mission and values of the New England Conservatory.
