The Student Success Program Manager will oversee the advising services and programmatic initiatives aimed at assisting students pursuing terminal associate degrees and those enrolled as non-degree-seeking individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Associate Director of Advising and academic support teams to enhance student recruitment and retention.
- Facilitate New Student Orientation advising and registration initiatives, ensuring a smooth transition for incoming students.
- Work in partnership with various departments to develop outreach strategies and support services for students facing academic challenges.
- Manage the content and functionality of the advising center's website and social media platforms, ensuring accurate and engaging information is available.
- Provide direct academic advising and coaching to students, helping them navigate their educational paths and make informed decisions.
Essential Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of student development and academic advising principles. They should demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Experience in public speaking and the ability to convey complex academic policies effectively are essential.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or advanced degree with a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience is required. Preferred candidates will have a Master’s degree in a related field and several years of experience in academic advising or program management within a higher education setting.
