Job Summary:

As a PRN Medical Assistant at Nuvance Health Med Practice CT, you will provide clinical and clerical support to ensure smooth daily department operations in assigned medical practices. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in various medical settings, including primary care, surgical, and specialty departments.

Responsibilities:

• Greets and prepares patients for scheduled visits, ensuring timely patient flow.
• Performs clinical and clerical tasks, including vital sign collection, patient intake, and documentation.
• Assists with in-office testing, coordinates testing and outside services, and reviews instructions for procedures and tests.
• Maintains inventory, ensures proper upkeep and cleaning of medical equipment and supplies, and fills out logs as necessary.
• Coaches and educates colleagues on procedures and techniques, and performs audits as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant training program preferred.
• Basic medical knowledge and terminology required; skilled in obtaining accurate patient vital signs.
• Minimum one year of experience in a medical office setting; CPR certification and bi-lingual skills preferred.

Working Conditions:

This is a per diem position, with 8-hour shifts between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Reliable transportation is required, as you will be providing coverage to medical offices in need of support.
