Truck Driver CDL Class A Yard Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Truck Driver CDL Class A Yard to join our team in Greencastle, PA. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a tractor trailer to transport goods to and from our yard
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
  • Load and unload freight, and assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, and ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
