Truck Driver CDL A Yard Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Truck Driver CDL A Yard to join our team in Greencastle, PA. As a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to our yard while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
Benefits:
  • Competitive pay: $1150 or more per week
  • Hourly pay: $28.00 per hour
  • 42+ hours per week
  • Paid training
  • 4 days on, 3 days off schedule
  • Start time: 6:00 am
  • Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided

Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
