Truck Driver CDL A Yard Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Class A CDL truck driver to join our team at Ryder in Greencastle, PA. As a solo driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight to our yard and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
