Sentara Healthcare is currently in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Vascular Stepdown/Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) team.

This position is ideal for both new graduate RNs and seasoned Med/Surg nurses eager to expand their expertise or refine their existing skills.
Nurse Residency Program: Offered for all new graduate RNs.
Available Shift: Full-Time Day Shift.
About Our Unit:
The 9 Kaufman unit is a specialized 24-bed stepdown intermediate care unit focusing on vascular surgery, telemetry, and renal/pancreas transplant patients. Our staffing includes RNs, LPNs, Nursing Care Partners (NCPs), Unit Ambassadors (UAs), and Clinical Support Associates (CSAs).
Unit Responsibilities:
Our unit performs various vascular surgeries, including aortic aneurysm repairs, carotid endarterectomies, femoral bypass surgeries, and amputations. The team is an extension of the renal/pancreas transplant group, working closely with the outpatient transplant center. All nurses on 9 Kaufman are specially trained and have the opportunity to pursue PCCN certification, which we will support you in obtaining. Each bed in our unit is monitored, allowing us to care for patients with telemetry needs, creating an environment that fosters extensive learning and skill enhancement.
Nurse-Patient Ratio: 1:4.

Qualifications:
- Current RN License
- BSN or MSN preferred
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
