Construction Quality Control Specialist

The project site is situated along access routes, including various construction activities within a significant national monument.

Position Overview:
As a Quality Control Specialist for the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), you will be tasked with overseeing and ensuring the quality of construction work performed by contractors on a vital project. Your role will involve monitoring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections to verify that construction activities meet contract requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the contractor's quality control systems.
- Report any discrepancies or safety concerns to the appropriate project authorities.
- Review and validate the accuracy of project documentation.
- Collaborate with the contractor to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare and submit detailed quality assurance reports promptly.
Qualifications:
Required:
- National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Clearance or the ability to obtain it.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, with a preference for heavy civil projects.
- Familiarity with safety and health regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in challenging environmental conditions.
- Proficiency in report preparation and field quality assurance testing.
Preferred:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Experience with USACE processes and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to create comprehensive reports.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
