We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
- Verify patient identification and physician orders, and acquire accurate patient histories.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and provide effective communication with customers, administrative staff, and medical professionals.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment, follow policy for malfunctions or quality control failures, and minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients and families prior to each exam.
- Contribute to the effective operations of the department by assisting fellow employees and staying in compliance with quality assurance and quality control.
- Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
- Registration as a Radiologic Technologist (CRT-R) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
