We are looking for a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting clinicians with minor medical and surgical procedures, performing clerical and administrative tasks, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Foster exceptional relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Safeguard patients' protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Anticipate and meet clinicians' needs by carrying out orders effectively.
- Coordinate patient movement between waiting areas and exam rooms.
- Gather, document, and communicate vital signs and other relevant patient information to RNs, LVNs, or clinicians.
- Conduct various medical procedures and administer medications as necessary for certification.
- Maintain and sanitize exam and treatment areas, specimen processing areas, and medical equipment.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant experience.
- BLS certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Adequate transportation for traveling to client or patient sites.
Desirable Skills:
- 1+ year of experience in an ambulatory care setting or military experience as a Medical Assistant/EMT.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Experience in primary care or specialty care environments.
- Bilingual English and Spanish.
Salary Range:$16.00 - $28.27 per hour, considering factors like local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
