Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing speech assessment, services, direction, and care to patients in our rehabilitation programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' home environment and functional status, and participate in the development of the total plan of care.
  • Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities, and help patients recover and feel better about themselves.
  • Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisors and other team members, and assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
  • Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
  • Instruct patients' family or nursing staff in follow-through programs, and maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
  • Make presentations to support marketing efforts, at team conferences, and in-services.
  • Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws.
Requirements
  • Holds a master's degree from an approved college or school of speech-language pathology.
  • Current state Speech Language Pathology licensure and credentialing.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) as granted by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligible to begin the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • CPR certification.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Completes continuing education requirements as set forth by state and/or professional organization.
