Market Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Market Manager to lead our food service operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing overall market operations, providing exceptional customer service, and promoting the professional growth and development of the food services team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage food service operations, including Deli, Bakery, Made to Order Food, and Beverage Service
- Monitor quality and standards, and meet expectations of our guests on a daily basis
- Oversee front and back of house operations and guest experience
- Provide and role model Town & Country Markets' hospitality
- Promote the professional growth and development of the food services team
- Improve service by teaching employees to understand guest needs through guidance, feedback, and coaching when needed
- Perform food service duties in the absence of employees and allocate labor based on business needs
- Participate in the forecasting process
- Work closely with Food Services Manager, Kitchen Manager, and Bakery Manager in achieving operational proficiencies
- Oversee schedule writing and ensure that food services departments are hitting labor targets, including monitoring overtime
- Participate in weekly MAP, merchandising, and food service operations conversations
- Maintain gross margins while ensuring quality standards
- Assist in achieving quarterly financial goals with a focus on sales, gross, and labor
- Manage purchasing and inventory controls
- Act as Lead Interviewer for all Food Service positions
- Maintain a simple historical record of factors that affect daily sales and utilize this information to project future needs
- Accountable for the execution of food services merchandising
- Establish and maintain Ready for Business standards in both front and back of house
- Maintain the integrity of our brand and marketing expressions
- General
- Ensure market appearance and cleanliness
- Operate within the Company Core Values, Company Brand, and Business Principles
- Maintain adherence to waste management and all security and safety policies
- Ensure market's compliance with local/state/federal laws
- Ensure the dissemination and adherence to all company policies and guidelines
- Keep up on industry trends, standards, and changes
- Establish and maintain a culture of safety throughout the market
- 6 years of supervisory experience in restaurant/food service/culinary industry
- Proven track record in achieving company goals in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Exceptional business etiquette and guest relations skills
- Must be accurate and detail-oriented
- Clear understanding of restaurant operations
- Must be knowledgeable on HACCP controls along with proper storage and use of food
- Excellent communicator/listener, motivator, and risk taker
- Must be a team player, a leader, and a positive role model
- Ability to problem solve and manage conflicts
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of staff, customers, and vendors
- Exemplifies health department standards
- Must exhibit superior organizational skills
- Must possess intermediate computer skills including MS Office
- Commitment to personal and professional development
- Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Possess full body mobility (bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching) and have excellent manual dexterity
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
