Position Summary:

The Cashier at The Golf Mart plays a vital role in fostering a store environment that aligns with the core values of Worldwide Golf, particularly the "Sure No Problem" philosophy. This approach emphasizes prioritizing customer satisfaction and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

The Cashier is accountable for managing all customer transactions, ensuring satisfaction at the service desk, and maintaining accurate control over cash and media materials. Key responsibilities include:
  • Exemplifying outstanding customer service, recognizing that the cashier is the final touchpoint in the shopping journey.
  • Processing transactions and merchandise using the computer and POS register system.
  • Assisting with store organization, display upkeep, and restocking as necessary.
  • Identifying and proposing improvements to processes once fully trained.
  • Carrying out additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with processing transactions and merchandise through computer and POS systems.
  • Ability to navigate all areas of the store, including sales, stock, and register zones, with physical capabilities to lift and move items up to 35 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and days as required by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; experience in retail or golf settings is advantageous.
  • General knowledge of golf is beneficial but not mandatory.
This is a full-time role with an hourly wage of $18.50. Commission opportunities may be available based on location and experience. Starting pay may vary based on geography, experience, and education.
