Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the provision of pharmaceutical care under the supervision of our pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical duties in support of pharmacy operations, including receiving and processing medication orders, preparing and dispensing medications, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of pharmaceuticals, including their uses, side effects, and interactions.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practices.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Training in an accredited hospital pharmacy technician training program or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Certification through PTCB required (exception: enrolled in an ACPE accredited pharmacy school program).
