Job Overview

The Project Manager for Justice at Vanir is responsible for the strategic planning, organization, and oversight of project management functions to ensure alignment with stakeholder requirements, specifications, budget, and timelines, from the initial identification of projects through to the completion of construction. This role may involve supervising administrative personnel, project engineers, assistant project managers, and other designated team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary contact and representative for stakeholders and principal partner organizations regarding contracts, design, systems, procedures, and deliverables Formulate project-specific protocols and documentation, and may engage with stakeholders on design and construction agreements and associated A/E systems Possess a thorough understanding of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure adherence to construction and project standards Acquire, maintain, and manage essential data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and organizational standards among stakeholders, architects, engineers, and other related parties Act as a representative for stakeholders and related parties in public meetings and forums Oversee project controls, cost management, performance activities, logistics, organizational systems, and project completion Facilitate project meetings, ensuring proper documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses May coordinate, direct, and supervise the activities of construction management personnel, contractors, engineers, architects, and other involved entities Manage bid phase services as required by clients Perform additional duties as necessary

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is required (Extensive relevant project management experience may substitute for formal education) A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Justice Sector is required Knowledge and application of master planning, A/E solicitation, project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost management, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, contracts, and delivery methods are essential Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, along with experience in project-related systems such as Prolog and Primavera are required Proficiency in various document control systems is necessary Registration as an Architect or Professional Engineer is preferred Certification as a Construction Manager is preferred
