Job Summary

The Area Supervisor is a key role within Sonic, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple stores. This position requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to implement company standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain high standards for store operations, including sales and profit growth, service times, food quality, and order accuracy.
  • Work closely with store managers to ensure operational excellence and achieve company goals.
  • Recruit, interview, and select new team members, ensuring they meet company standards.
  • Manage labor laws, health and sanitation regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement effective leadership and supervisory practices, including communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Monitor and analyze store performance, making data-driven decisions to drive improvement.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of restaurant management experience, with a focus on multi-unit supervision.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and make decisions.
  • Basic accounting and computer skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work a minimum 5-day workweek, including irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior Sonic management experience.
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and selection practices.
  • Leadership and supervisory practices and skills.
