Job Summary

The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles, ensuring that all repairs and maintenance are performed in a safe and timely manner. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of technicians responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and vehicles
  • Plan and schedule repair work to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime
  • Conduct daily shop huddles and fleet walks to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Coach and train technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
  • Perform inspections of outside repairs to ensure compliance with company safety and compliance procedures
  • Oversee maintenance shop inventory control system to ensure necessary equipment and parts levels are maintained
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; ASE certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance working with heavy equipment; 1+ year of supervisory experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
