Job Summary

Strack, Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for operating complex machinery, including scrapers, graders, and other heavy equipment. Your primary duties will include:

  • Performing daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment
  • Operating scrapers to strip, excavate, backfill, and stockpile materials
  • Interpreting information on grade stakes to ensure accurate grading
  • Cutting and spreading fill material with scrapers
  • Inspecting and maintaining scrapers to ensure optimal performance
  • Working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials
  • Complying with Strack Safety Program
  • Operating other heavy equipment and performing construction-related duties as required

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment operation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Reliable transportation
  • Good work ethics, including being on time, working hard, and willing to learn
