The CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for managing 3-5 axis CNC machine cells and standalone lathe equipment. This role involves essential machine preparation, including the setup of fixtures and cutting tools, as well as the loading and modification of CNC programs and offsets. Proficiency in quality inspection methods and tools, such as height gauges, air gauges, and bench inspection techniques, is required. A foundational understanding of print interpretation and common CNC G and M codes is also necessary.


Work Schedule:
The position operates on a weeknight shift from 4 PM to 2 AM, Monday through Thursday.


Essential Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience with lathe machinery.
  • Ability to identify, load, and secure fixtures with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of G and M codes for setting and adjusting offsets and interacting with CNC programs.
  • Understanding of shop mathematics, including tool geometry and basic geometry.
  • Capability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and apply dimensional specifications in inspection processes.
