Position Summary

The CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for the operation of 3-5 axis CNC machine cells and standalone machines. This role requires fundamental machine setup, including the preparation and installation of fixtures and cutting tools, as well as loading and modifying CNC programs and offsets. Proficiency in using quality inspection tools such as height gauges and air gauges is essential. A basic understanding of print reading and common CNC G and M codes is also required.

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday from 4pm to 2am.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience with lathe machinery.
  • Ability to identify, load, and secure fixtures with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with G and M codes for setting and adjusting offsets and interacting with CNC programs.
  • Understanding of shop mathematics, including tool geometry and basic geometry.
  • Capability to read basic prints and apply dimensional specifications during inspection processes.
