About the Role

Penn Medicine is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, advancing medical research, and educating future healthcare leaders. As a Clinical Pharmacist on our Chemotherapy & Infusion Pharmacy Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate medications prescribed by physicians and providers for appropriateness, efficacy, and potential interactions.
  • Perform patient chart reviews, referencing treatment guidelines and NCCN recommendations as necessary.
  • Communicate with physicians and nursing teams to clarify or correct ambiguous or incomplete orders.
  • Provide counseling and drug information to patients and physicians.
  • Assist in supervising pharmacy technicians and ensuring accurate dispensing.
  • Participate in managing medical emergencies and maintaining adequate medication inventory levels.
  • Stay up-to-date with current knowledge of drug information, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current licensure in the State of Pennsylvania.
  • Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree.
  • Prior clinical oncology pharmacy experience preferred.
