Job Title: Sr. Director of Supply Chain and Procurement

At CV Resources, we are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Sr. Director of Supply Chain and Procurement to lead our procurement and supply chain functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, supply chain management, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Leadership: Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials, services, and equipment.
  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and drive down costs.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Oversee vendor selection, evaluation, and risk management to ensure alignment with company standards and sustainability goals.
  • SIOP Process: Drive the SIOP process to ensure optimal balance of supply and demand, aligning inventory levels with business forecasts.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, ecommerce, and operations teams to synchronize product availability with market demand, reducing stock-outs and excess inventory.
  • Demand Forecasting: Implement demand forecasting tools and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Cost Savings: Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives to reduce COGS, improving overall profit margins.
  • Process Improvement: Lead cost optimization projects, including product sourcing, contract negotiations, and process improvements.
  • Supplier Performance: Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement through scorecards, audits, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Supply Planning: Design and implement supply planning strategies that ensure on-time delivery of products, while minimizing excess inventory and reducing lead times.
  • Demand Planning: Lead the demand planning team to develop accurate forecasts and inventory strategies that meet service level targets.
  • Product Introduction: Collaborate with product development teams to manage the introduction of new products into the supply chain.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance skills and expertise within the team.
  • Long-term Strategy: Develop and implement long-term supply chain strategies that support the company's growth objectives and sustainability goals.
  • Vendor Requirements: Communicate and collaborate with the NPD team on vendor requirements and timelines as they relate to product launch timelines.
  • Cost Reduction: Support NPD on cost reduction strategies, supplier capabilities, and vendor qualifications.
  • Quality Standards: Establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and brand specifications.
  • Supplier Audits: Conduct supplier audits, inspections, and quality control checks to mitigate risks and maintain product integrity.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain management.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain principles, and sustainability trends.
  • Leadership: Experience developing and leading a best-in-class SIOP process.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience in procurement systems and platforms such as Oracle and NetSuite.
  • Communication: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data analysis tools/software.
  • Collaboration: Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
