Role Summary:
The Director of Clinical Services will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Social Work Function within psychiatric services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality psychotherapy to patients. This position involves direct engagement with patients and their families, aiding them in navigating diagnoses and treatment options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, development, and implementation of social service programs within the facility.
- Stay informed on federal and state regulations, providing recommendations for policy updates.
- Facilitate the professional growth of clinical staff through tailored training and development plans.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for social workers and therapists.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and review the performance and documentation of clinical staff for quality assurance.
- Maintain therapeutic standards and measure health outcomes against established goals.
- Conduct individual psychotherapy sessions in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Mentor new nursing staff to ensure a cohesive team environment.
- Perform additional duties as required by the position.
