Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Halekulani Hotel. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for providing financial and administrative services to our accounts receivable and income audit departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process daily cash receipts and credit card payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the A/R aging accounts on a weekly basis to ensure proactive collection efforts.
  • Prepare and send invoices to customers and resolve any discrepancies/disputes.
  • Maintain credit card prepayment program for hotel's special events.
  • Audit hotel revenue transactions, paperwork, rebates, paid outs, miscellaneous charges.
  • Prepare and distribute the daily revenue report for management review.
  • Assist in daily, monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
  • Assist in responding to guest inquiries.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • College degree in Accounting.
  • 3 years accounting experience.
  • Experience with computers (windows based) and calculators.
Working Conditions

The Accounting Clerk will work in an indoor office environment with variable temperature conditions and noise levels. The position requires the ability to transport banker boxes (25 pounds) to storage archive and to visually see computer screens and work papers.
