Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to students seeking assistance with K-12 teacher coursework and certification exams.
  • Schedule tutoring sessions and provide tutoring to individual students and student groups.
  • Assist with preparing resources geared toward test preparation, including PowerPoint presentations.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure student success.
  • Work with technology platforms/applications to be used in the Teacher Education Program.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Applicants must have earned a B or higher in the course to which they wish to be assigned (or equivalent course).
  • Experience in tutoring/teaching students in a virtual and/or traditional environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Support for Teacher Residents with UTPB lesson plans, Pre-conference/Observation/Post-conference (POP cycles) and Student Perception Survey (SPS)
  • Demonstrated work history of meeting deadlines.
