About the Role

Red Hat Engineering is seeking an Integration Solutions Engineer to become a vital member of our Integration team, dedicated to enhancing our Telco 5G product suite.

Your Responsibilities

As part of a dynamic team, you will be instrumental in architecting and executing the container platform tailored for 5G telecommunications providers, playing a key role in pioneering advancements within the Kubernetes ecosystem.

In this globally distributed environment, you will engage with various Red Hat engineering teams and contribute to open source communities worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research and integrate diverse Kubernetes and Telco functionalities into a cohesive solution.
  • Engage in daily tasks that include deploying, automating, demonstrating, troubleshooting, and documenting integrations.
  • Collaborate effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Develop and implement modifications across multiple projects to diagnose issues, analyze root causes, and propose solutions.
  • Review and assess design proposals and enhancements from team members.
  • Work alongside the quality engineering team to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Share the team's achievements through blogs, web articles, or conference presentations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in automation tools and/or scripting languages such as Ansible, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with networking technologies, including server and switch configurations, key protocols, and tunneling technologies.
  • Strong Linux operational and administrative skills.
  • Adept at quickly assimilating new technologies.
  • Familiarity with open source projects and Git workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Skilled in using diagramming tools to visualize and discuss solutions effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CI/CD systems.
  • Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift, Open vSwitch (OVS), and Open Virtual Network (OVN).
  • Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker, Podman, or CRI-O.
  • Experience in supporting or troubleshooting various VNFs/CNFs.
  • Active participation in open source communities.
