Lead Cloud Operations Specialist

What You Will Be Responsible For

As a member of the IT Engineering team, you will collaborate closely with various departments within Samsung Ads to comprehend their requirements and implement tools and automation to address these needs.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong enthusiasm for self-service capabilities, automation, and minimizing the time required to manage the systems that underpin the business. You will also have the chance to identify technological deficiencies and propose innovative solutions to bridge those gaps.

You will collaborate with exceptionally skilled and passionate developers who have a robust technical background to deliver products and services in a market characterized by unique technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Oversee multiple vendor products and relationships to ensure operational support for Samsung Ads
  • Utilize and enhance automation tools to provide users with self-service capabilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on infrastructure and IT operations challenges
  • Contribute to the development of runbooks, maintain up-to-date disaster recovery plans, and conduct fire drills
  • Evaluate implemented solutions and adhere to non-functional requirements
  • Facilitate IT operations through onboarding and offboarding automation
  • Develop integrations between internal tools
  • Design and model user directory and permission frameworks
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance and security across IT solutions and users
  • Create and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks, deployments, and configuration management
  • Establish metric-based performance monitoring and report findings for visibility
  • Support Cloud Administration with functionalities similar to AWS Workspaces

Required Skills and Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware and systems (operating systems, business systems, networking, automation)
  • Comprehensive understanding of business systems architecture, design, and implementation
  • Experience leading multiple implementations of business and IT systems in a geographically diverse context
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently and efficiently while collaborating with various teams
  • Highly organized with the capability to manage priorities and multitask effectively
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility, collaboration, resourcefulness, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of taking initiative and building strong relationships
  • Provide comprehensive IT support to users, leading investigations and troubleshooting when issues arise, including hardware, software, or configuration challenges
  • Advanced proficiency in Atlassian Jira/Confluence
  • Expertise in Okta / SSO
  • Advanced experience with Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with Agile Operations (Kanban)
  • Strong knowledge of helpdesk ticketing systems, ITIL framework, and best practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional communication skills in English are essential
  • Fluency in Korean is an advantage

Compensation for this position is anticipated to range between $170,000 and $205,000. Actual remuneration will be determined based on factors such as relevant skills and experience, as well as comparisons to other employees in similar roles.
