Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Development Leader to join our team in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing programs for staff development, education, research, quality, and evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive education programs for nursing staff, including workshops, training sessions, and online courses.
- Collaborate with Nurse Directors in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery to identify learning needs and develop targeted programs.
- Design and implement research projects to improve patient outcomes and advance nursing practice.
- Lead quality and safety efforts, promoting a just culture framework and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain budgets for programmatic work, monitoring expenditures and making recommendations for capital budget purchases.
- MSN or MS with a major in Nursing, or DNP or PhD with a major in Nursing, or BSN with a Master's degree in a related field.
- Specialty certification in Cardiac Medicine or Surgery required.
- Current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Cardiovascular/Vascular nursing, with demonstrated evidence of leadership progression.
