Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Communication Security (COMSEC) custodial responsibilities and manage the COMSEC account, including inventory management, distribution, and destruction.
- Maintain personnel security records for DoD collateral clearances, SCI, and SAP/SAR programs, ensuring updates in the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and providing status updates to clients.
- Administer access quotas for SAP/SAR programs, including monthly reporting, processing Program Access Requests (PAR), and conducting program indoctrinations and debriefings.
- Assist with security reviews, inspections, and training sessions, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Maintain accountability for controlled documents and media, including active inventory lists and destruction receipts.
- Ensure that personnel in secure areas possess the necessary clearances and prevent unauthorized items from entering or exiting secure locations.
- Manage facility accreditation processes, ensuring all documentation is accurate and current.
- Ensure compliance with security requirements and federal regulations regarding classified and controlled systems.
- Participate in Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and support the development of authorization packages to maintain Authority To Operate (ATO).
- Review security-related deliverables and provide feedback on Statements of Work, contracts, and security plans.
- Prepare and review DD254s for contractors, ensuring adherence to security classification guidelines.
- Assist in developing Program Protection Plans (PPP) and ensure national security requirements are integrated into system designs.
- Engage in system design reviews to incorporate security requirements and provide input to engineering teams.
- Review Public Release and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, preparing necessary correspondence.
- Investigate security incidents and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), ensuring clarity and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess a current Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Five years of experience as a CPSO or equivalent, with a Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledgeable in relevant Government policies, including NISPOM and DoD manuals.
- Able to effectively engage with a diverse customer base and understand DoD operations.
- Capable of functioning both independently and as part of a team, taking responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Experience in OPSEC and Program Protection Planning.
