Agency Overview:

The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) is Florida's chief health policy and planning entity. The Agency is responsible for administering the Florida Medicaid program, the licensure and regulation of nearly 50,000 health care facilities, and empowering consumers through health care transparency initiatives.

Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida. We are seeking to hire a Medicaid Management Review Monitor who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor assigned subsystems of the Florida Medicaid Management Information System (FMMIS)
  • Identify and analyze management problems and develop specific solutions using operations research, method analysis, critical path scheduling, and other appropriate management techniques
  • Evaluate the contractor's management operations relating to the contractor's performance in establishing and maintaining satisfactory production schedules, levels of production, efficient processing, and office procedures

Requirements:

  • Four years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering, or administrative work
  • A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience
  • A master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university can substitute for two years of the required experience
