Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

At LGE Design Build, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects, working closely with the project manager to ensure timely completion, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide project management support under the supervision of a project manager.
  • Implement assigned duties with a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure all project estimates are prepared in accordance with project requirements.
  • Review and monitor design and construction phase documents for conformance with budget, schedule, and prime contract.
  • Negotiate and prepare subcontracts, contract purchase orders, agreement change orders, and change order requests.
  • Monitor outstanding owner change orders and change order requests.
  • Control job cost system, information, and analysis.
  • Assist in preparing monthly project forecasts, cost reports, and construction billing forecasts.
  • Ensure all project activities and closeout efforts are executed after proper planning to conform to standards and specifications.
  • Provide other duties including project engineer and field support roles and responsibilities.
  • Review and process all submittals and RFI's, ensuring compliance with contract documents and project needs.
  • Participate in and/or chair meetings, coordinate agendas, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Prepare all change order requests and agreement change orders, review pricing and status, ensuring compliance with prime contract.
  • Maintain current scheduling information and filing.
  • Apply for permits and C of O's.
  • Coordinate utilities as directed.
  • Upload drawings to Procore.
  • Establish and manage procedures providing an orderly and systematic process for handling problems and information requests generated through the course of construction.
  • Maintain a complete and current set of drawings reflecting all changes from base contract documents, including change order requests, addenda, field work orders, ASI's, correspondence, and field conditions.
  • Implement job start-up and close-out procedures as directed by the project manager.
  • Utilize safe work practices and follow directives, policies, and procedures for assisting and maintaining a healthy and safe work environment as outlined in LGE's Corporate Safety Manual.
  • May mentor less experienced P.E.'s or Interns.
Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or work experience equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years' work experience in construction management or related field.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with construction management software.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work within a fast-paced environment, and communicate clearly.
  • Logical, positive, and friendly attitude.
